Bunk House
The bunkhouse was originally built in Whaletown and used as an office. It got towed to BlueJay Lake Farm and parked here, where it continued to function as an office for a number of years and then eventually converted to a guest house.
The bunkhouse is 12’x24′ with one bedroom plus a common space with a sink, counter and woodstove. In the rainy seasons there is electricity from BlueJay Lake’s off-grid hydro-electric system. There is an outdoor composting toilet outside, just behind the bunkhouse.
We are looking to live with others who enjoy the rural lifestyle, are eager to participate in farm projects, want to live in community and are interested in living a simple life without many modern conveniences. Sharing in the milking livestock would be an expectation for those living on the farm.
